We take a look at the upcoming 12" Geared Up Figures from the 2004 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line from Playmates that we recently saw...

These appear to be 12" versions of the Fighting Gear figures, but whilst A-F reader Splinter told me why I should like the Fighting Gear figures (and a good arguement that has me convinced), the 12" figures really don't do it for me.

I don't know what I don't like about them, and I know I'm alone on this. It's down to personal taste, I guess, I certainly don't hate them...I think I like my Turtles without the costumes.

Still whilst the armor appears to be removable on the 12" figures too... they don't appear to have the same level of articulation that Splinter informed us about that changed my opinion about the Fighting Gear figures.

As I said it's a personal opinion thing, rather than a professional opinion thing, and I certainly look forward to your comments below to change my opinion about them!

Hehehehe I don't tihnk there is much we can say here to change your opinion. To me, if a figure is done on a larger scale, that would indicate more room for more aticulation. Making a larger toy that is weaker than the original just isn't profitiable. At leats Toybiz figured this out with thier rotocast figures. Seriously a few new joints in larger figures will really change my mind about wether or not to buy a giant sized version of a figure I already own.
