Stevenson Entertainment: US TOYFAIR: Alias

Stevenson announced picking up the Alias License at ToyFair, and whilst they only showed one item, we have all the details about what's coming out...

The Alias product is due in the fall to coinicide with the Season 3 DVD and Season 4 starting on ABC.

Shown was the first in a series of Busts

There will be a range of 6" Action Figures, consistsing of 2 Sydney Bristows (in her sexy Alias garb as seen in the bust below, and business suit), a Michael Vaughan and one other.

These figures will be individually clam shelled and come ladened with a load of accessories (Sydney in her sexy Alias garb will come with a guitar case amongst other things).

There will also be a Boxed set consisting of all 4 figures.

There will be two 12" Sydney dolls, which will again be loaded with accessories, consisting of her in her classic red hair and her fashion black outfit.

Three Smitis sets will also be released:

Set 2

Michael Vaughan

Arvin Sloane

Mr Sark

Set 3

Will Tipper

Marcus Dixon

Marshall Flinkman

this news made me feel bad about buying mirage's crappy alias figs! hopefully this company will put out a better 6" figure with more articulation and a freakin BETTER sculpt!

I'm callin' this line a big flop.

First off-- the big mistake everyone is making is that they AREN'T making a REGULAR Sydney. She's undercover about 3% of the time. I don't want an undercover figure-- I want a SYDNEY figure. Secondly, the next two lines don't include ANY Sydneys. Bad move.

And then there was much rejoicing... HUZZAH!!! I hope SOTA is in the mix (sculpting & design) on this line. After seeing what they did with the Lara Croft figures, I can't think of a better source for Stevenson to use to sculpt and design these figures!

now thats what i call a likeness!! i've not heard much about stevenson but a sydney is business suit sounds like a regular sydney figure. i definately feel cheated into buyin the alias two pack for no reason. its now hiding behind some of my figures i'm so ashamed of it.

Alias is one of my favourite shows so i ll be picking these up.One question-what is a "smitis"set?It s not those damned blocko type figures again is it?

Stevenson did a great job on the HO1,000C figures, so I can expect these to be just a good.

Just wanted to respond to GrenadierStinny's comment about wanting a "regular" Sydney figure in the line. The first figure assortment will, in fact, include Sydney in characteristic suit, as well as one of her "under cover" outfits.

WOW!

Great news. I just hope against hope that the 6" figures are articulated with some level of decency. Of course SOTA's Lara Croft figures have perfect articulation so I'm really hoping for the same from these figures.

I don't even think the original figures were released down under, not that I wanted them. I hope Stevenson realise these figures are aimed at the Collector's market and manage to combine the already great looking sculpt with some decent articulation. I will definately be picking up Business Suit Sydney (hopefully a pants suit so she can have articulated legs) and Vaughn and I hope either Evil Francie (Alison) or Sark make up the fourth, we need a villain in there.

The 12" and Smitis (what the heck are they?) don't really interest me that much, but I do hope that for such an action oriented show we can get some ACTION figures instead of statues like the Kill Bill and Buffy toys (both of which look great, but are very dissapointing articulation wise considering their major action sources).

Well another line to add to my 2004 list, unless they end up being pre-posed plastic statues, but I have lots of hope that this will be a line that can please everyone.

I just saw this incredible news about the action figure sets and I was so looking forward to them, but then I noticed, that there won't be an Irina Derevko/Spymommy figurine! Why? She's such an important part of the series, and even Marshall and Sark get a figurine!!!
