So i'm talking to SOTA and they go "Hey Paul, how can we torment the Street Fighter fans anymore than we already have?" So I said..hmmmmmmmmmmm...up the drool factor...


It was only FOUR DAYS ago when we brought you that brand new sneak peek of SODOM RIGHT HERE . So SOTA, always wanting to keep you on your toes, came up with a little something extra. They sifted through your emails and dug through pages of comments and one monster of a discussion threat on our FORUM ...with two other threads where that came from! Today we take two specific fan requests. One being "Can we see a full picture of Sagat? The bust shot is not doing it for me." The other came from a few people screaming "What's up with that pupil in Sagat's eye!" Ok..little things slip by sometimes! What more can we say. It's fixed. Done. Gone. Check out the image below..no lighting tricks here. Let SOTA know if they are moving in the right direction.

NOW...THE REAL REASON I CALLED YOU ALL HERE! hahaha..Bet you all thought It was all about a new picture, huh? WRONG. How would you like to pick the next lineup for SOTA's Street Fighter? First off let me introduce the first figure in the second series. Capcom said this was a must and we can't argue with it. After all, you can't have Ryu without KEN! It's going to be a while before you see him though. Hey, we haven't even finished showing the teasers for series 1!! Now that that is out of the way, here's the deal. We are giving you FOUR categories. Pick ONE fighter from each category. NO MIXING AND MATCHING.

Category 1:

Akuma
Vega
Adon
Rolento

Category 2:

Cammy
Sakura
Ibuki
Rose

Category 3:

Blanka
Balrog
Zangief
Dhalsim

Category 4:

Birdie
T Hawk
Dudley
Oro

Now take your picks and email them to streetfighter@action-figure.com . Oddly enough we are still getting entries to the last contest..and some of them are still wrong..hehehe. To those of you still mailing in with the right answers, please, stop. ONE email per person please. ONE email per email address. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lets not mess it up.
On March 19th, the voting will stop and soon after, we'll announce the lineup as picked by YOU..THE FANS!!! (I feel like there should be patriotic music playing here.) Get to it! The voting starts NOW. Spread the word. FLY MY MONKEYS!!!

SOTA is doing it right by my book. That Sagat looks a little more cut up than the Resaurus one, but the important thing is SOTA's superior fun factor and poseability. As log as they can do martial arts moves, it's all good.

The fact that we can vote and have a say, shows the the concern for the fans. Great job guys.

Personally, I think this is the best action figure versions of Street Fighter, and I haven't even seen RYU yet! I like that SOTA is actually responding to our comments. I love the articulation, sculpt job, and the paint job on these figures. Congrats SOTA. You've made me a fan. Oh yeah pleeeeeeeaaaaaasse have RYU in the first of the series. You just gotta have the hero of the game.

    this are much better than the other ones. They are too dark. Plain white background is great.

    Here's the deal guys and gals.

    You're choosing the line up for series 2...so make wise choices.

    You want this line to succeed and continue so you need to make sure your choices make good sense.

    You want a line up that not only fans go nuts about but that people who aren't so familiar with SF will pick up.

    I'd like to think that A-F readers are pretty saavy when it comes to commercial decisions....nows the time to prove it.

    Wait a minute, Ryu is still gowing to be in the first series? Oh. I didn't know that. I already asked people to vote for him. Oh well, in that case, Akuma, Cammy, Zangief, and Birdie should do fine. Believe it or not, Birdie is an original. He appeard in SF1.

    Sagat looks fantastic. Definitely picking him up. (that little GI Joe version's going to get beat)

    Remember that there are plenty of other karate outfit characters to come, having both Ken and Akuma (the best characters ever) would be premature.

    Category 3 was definitely the hardest. I suppose it really should depend on how confident SOTA is with doing Blanka.

    Otherwise it's the very interesting question of whether kids would like a wrestler or a boxer.

    I don't think that Adon and Rolento should've been in category 1, Blanka and Zangief should've been on that category instead.

    Oh, and T. Hawk in category 4? T. Hawk is the coolest Native American character in videogame history! He should've been in category 2...

    Im so happy everyones as into this line as myself.. fully articulated SF figures have been a long time coming!

    Now, trust me..theres a method to the madness in our category choices... some of it has to do with Capcom, some with my personal likes and dislikes but mostly its set up so the line will last and not get used up in 4 series.

    you just have to trust me folks.

    Like Nomad said.. email your choices because the ones posted here wont be counted!

    Finally! It makes me ill thinking that the best line( imo) for this amazing franchise was the Gi Joe line... the resaurus looked beautiful, but were little more than statues, and the pupil removal really gives Sagat a perfect likeness...the initial picture screamed "Sloth!" to me..and SOTA is doing what every company should do, my hats off to ya

    How about putting an extra shoulder joint on the figures ala Marvel legends(good example is Marvel legends Iron Man)? Unless it already has one...

    I just hope Ken isn't a repainted Ryu with a new head... granted, I have no interest in Ryu or his color swaps anyway, he's far too generic a character for me to be concerned over, and far too plain to stand out.

    I have a funny idea. Why don't those of you that have a severe need for the characters they chose to get made start up web pages telling people why they should pick them. They'll be like fan pages, except they will convince people to vote for Cammy or Dhalsim..etc. I think that would be hysterical. If you really love a specific character, let's see it!

    Apparently not very many people would like to see Sakura made into an awesome figure, I know I would, in any case, Cammy is a pretty cool choice, I would rather have Sakura over Cammy but Cammy is deffinetely my 2nd Pick, as for the others, I also had a though choice in Pick 1, I like Akuma better, But Vega would be awesome too, as for the others, Zangief and T Hawk are my Picks

    Am I the only one who thinks Guile, Charlie, and Ken whould be showing up really soon, Id hate for this line to go down and have a Ryu Figure and No Ken and no Guile, I think Ken and Guile are must Haves, where the hell are they?

    Sorry didnt read that Ken was in lineup 2, hahaha sorry about that, Id still like Guile and Charlie Figures, maybe Cody, and Guy too, but mostly Charlie and Guile, and no Shadow Charlie crap Also they should make like a Evil Ryu Exclusive,
