You've stuck with us for the last few weeks as we slowly showed off SOTA's amazing Street Fighter line. Are you ready for some more? How about we give you...three more...

Just like the song says..three is the magic number! Actually, if you've been keeping score, three is the number of fighters we had left to show you completely. It seems the Street Fighter phenomenon has taken off so fast that SOTA can't keep up with the requests for images. So, as not to hold them up any longer, we decided to spill the rest all at once. Here are your remaining fighters..Ryu and Chun Li, along with a brighter shot of Bison and Sodom. If that wasn't enough, see if you can spot the first look at a key accessory in the line. It may not seem like much to the casual fan, but for the diehard Street Fighter elite, it's a biggie.

To recap...

The lineup:
Ryu
Chun Li
Sodom
Sagat
Bison

Articulation: Ball jointed neck, ball shoulders with swivel below (Marvel legends style), elbow hinges, wrist swivels, waist swivel, torso bend, ball hips with swivel (again ML style), double knees, ball ankles and mid-foot hinge.

Scale: The fighters will start right around Marvel Legends scale. Ryu and Chun Li will be around the same height. Then Bison and Sodom menace over them. You'd think that was enough. Since Sagat is the biggest fighter in the game, he's also the biggest fighter in the line, larger than Bison even in a slight crouch.

Style: The sculpts were modeled after a combination of the classic Street Fighter art and the new school designs by Udon from the popular Image comic.

Accessories: SOTA is not ready to give it all away yet, but here is what you can expect in the package with your fighter. You'll see variant heads and hands in this line, and "special" parts, like a clear blue hand for Bison. It's also been revealed that Ryu will come with his duffle bag!

The License: SOTA has a total Street Fighter license. This does NOT include characters owned by other companies. It does, however, include the crossovers from Final Fight like Hugo, Sodom, Cody, etc. Basically, think of any character in a game under the sole banner "Street Fighter" and you've got your list...and it's a big one.

Series 2: It's been revealed that Ken is in series 2. Who else is up for the fight? This time, it's up to you. Read the details by clicking RIGHT HERE and make series 2 your own!

It's been a wild ride. Thanks to all our readers for lending fantastic input to SOTA. Because of you, this is sure to be a landmark line we here at A-F are all looking forward to. Thanks to SOTA for letting us be a part of it.

Shazam, this is looking to be a sick sick line, I can't WAIT for these bad boys and girls. I am expecially loving the bigger characters, they just look so MASSIVE! Congrats all around, excellent work.

Oh yeah, I hope they change Ryu's lipstick also lol. I think more of a nude color would work hehehe

The figures are gonna kick serious @$$! Gonna have to agree with the others on Ryu's face deco, though. Of course that's not really a complaint, and should be an easy fix. Great work SOTA!

These figures are amazing. I know nothing about the Streetfighter license, but these are making me think about definately adding to my collection. The articulation looks extremely good, and I'm not going to even try to mention the sculpting! It is FANTASTIC! Ryu's face and lipstick? Sorry people, can't see it myself, I think the headsculpt is fantastic! Full blooded!

Even better is how SOTA have been asking the fans to think of figures for the future series. That is a true company!

Keep it going SOTA! These figures are legendary!

man, bison and chun li look great!! well done SOTA

small gripe, ryu's head sculpt looks far too "realistic". his body sculpt screams "anime-style" (especially the large hands/gloves which i really like) but the head doesn't match up. i'm tryin to compare it with UDONs art (although i know the line is based on the comic and not exact 3d-replicas) but i can't quite put my finger on what i don't quite like about it. mayb the eyes are too close together, or his large lips? do u guys have images of the pre-paint master sculpt?? mayb we can see if its the paint on the face sculpt?

anyway i was usin this image to compare:
http://www.streetfightercomics.com/Issues/SF01/SF01-02.jpg

hope my input counts, keep up the gd work,

Yik

Well, everybody but Ryu looks awesome. I'd say even Resaurus's headsculpt looked nicer. Real head meets anime body is a no-no for me. A little disappointed we're getting "big" bison though.....I always liked the lean n mean version like they brought back in CvS1+2.

I'm gonna have to agree with the majority when I say this line looks great, but I'm not particularly fond of Ryu's face. I think it would be terrific if it looks more like Udon's Ryu, instead of the ultra-realistic looking face. The body looks great, though. And I'm especially happy that they chose the big Bison over skinny Bison.

Ryu's face needs some work. It would be cool if Bison's head will be sculpted showing his teeth.

Wow! Fantastic stuff!

RYU - I'm loving this, a better sculpt than the HD prototpye in my humble opinion. Though like others have said, it's the head that doesn't quite click. I think I can see some influences from SF2 art, which unfortunately I always hated - the mouths in particular were always drawn grim (and looked the same on everyone). I don't think this grim expression suits Ryu.

SODOM - I actually really like this, great sculpt and articulation. A fine paint-job on this one too.

SAGAT - Awesome.

BISON - Wicked! Love the head and his expression. The body looks very good. Solid and powerful.

CHUN LI - Great head sculpt, quite anime style too. Great body and colours, yet there's something about the arms that looks odd. Perhaps a touch too long?

Overall I'd say you've done some splendid work and I look forward to having these in my hands soon.

Everyone's already said it - Ryu's face needs some work. The only real problem I have with it is the lipstick and the eyes are too small.

Very nice work all around!

Like everyone else though, I disappointed in Ryu's face. I think his hair is a little too dark and his face is far to realistic looking. I would have preferred the more anime look in the new comic and most of th recent video games. I LOVE the Duffle Bag!!

I like Chun-Li but I was actually hoping to get her in her Alpha outfit since that's what she wears in the comic and I've always preferred that costume over the China Dress one.

Sodom, Bison, and Sagat all look great. These figures come with alternate heads right? Any chance of seeing those? Thanks for showing us all this SOTA and Action-Figure.com!

Randy

This isn't a complaint, it's a question. On Ryu, Chun Li and M'Bison how are there clothes going to affaect all the articulation? Bison and Ryu's shirt tails, Chun Li's skirt thing and puffy sleeves, will they be made of soft plastic or what?

You SF fans are as bad as Star Trek fans. SOTA is gonna have a rough time pleasing you guys. From a sculptural and esthetic standpoint Ryu's face works very well. I do not see any lipstick, or eye bags, maybe my monitor at work is a little dark. Look in the mirror people, your lips are darker than the rest of your face, it's natural! My only gripe is Chun-Li's elbows, they look a little too curved and maybe the overall length is a little much, but I of course can't tell for sure from one pic. SOTA you've definately reached your goal of having a perfect balance between sculpt and articulation. Congrats :).

A great line through and through.

Now for some constructive criticisms.

Ryu: By far my most favorite Street Fighter character. Like most have pointed out to some extent or another, Ryu's head sculpt just does not seem right for him. I'ts not that it's a bad head sculpt, but it does not remind me of Ryu at all. Looks like someone else entirely. Udon's rendition of him would be perfect for a head sculpt or the one from SF the movie.

Perhaps SOTA was going for a more realistic look and tried to make Ryu more asian looking. Whatever the case, I think a more anime look may do wonders for him. The other characters like Chun Li, Sagat, and, Bison have got awesome head sculpts that have enough hint of anime on them that I can recorgnize them easily. Perhaps Ryu should benefit as well. If a realistc look is still the point in Ryu's head sculpt, perhaps a more angular jaw, smaller eyes, and less lip paint around the mouth will do. Or perhaps if these figs are coming with interchangeable heads, Ryu can come with an "anime" neutral expression head and the realistic one.

Also I noticed the flesh gap between Ryu's gloves right where his wrist and and the back of his hands are. I think it should be all solid red.

Chun Li: What can I say? The best rendition of the Chunster in fully articulated format up to date. The only thing I would improve upon is her arms. Perhaps more musculature is needed. Of course she should not have really big muscles but some definition would help. All the ML females have sticks for arms, Sota would brake the mold if they changed Chun Li.

I hope SOTA is looking at these comments and be able to help the fans out since Ryu and Chun Li are the biggest street Fighter names. I'm worried that these molds are already done, and that there is no time to change them. If so, then maybe we can somehow get a special order on a different Ryu head or something like that.

Good job SOTA. Maybe just add a few modifications on Ryu's head and Chun Li's arms to appease fan preference, and you've got a hit line that I would seel through the roof with no serious complaints. Thanks SOTA.

<font color=blue>Well overall I think SOTA's doing a pretty good job with these, I saw the previews and they looked decent, the more ""monstery" type characters are easier for companies to do, The real clencher for me was Ryu and Chun Li. I was more worried about chun li cause many companies have had problems with her likness in the past. Chun Li's pretty okay, her body looks great, I'd do some slight tweaking to the head, but other than that I'm fine with it, it's much better than the monkey headed resaurus one. Ryu on the other hand as others have said desperatly needs a head transplant. Ryu's body looks great and I love the duffle bag, but his head is looking bad. The lipstick has to go, and it needs to be resculpted. SOTA it would make this the best series if you just do Ryu's head exactly like High Dream has done there ryu head. So far in terms of action figures I think High Dream has done the best headsculpt for ryu to date.

At first, I saw Ryu's head, and just thought it was cool.
Then I read the comments. So I checked the picture again.
Now I am convinced that the head sculpt is fine.

It captures Ryu's determination - pure and simple. To me, it is fine as is - but if SOTA (or Dare :p) decide it needs to be changed, then that is their choice.

All of the figures look excellent. I cannot wait until these go home with me! I will put them in the place of honor :)

I am going to order at least one full set, and maybe a few extra in case I want to do a P2 paintjob cutom (I've always been a P2 kinda player).

I have a question:
The article mentioned that anything published under the &quot;Street Fighter&quot; name is game (woohoo Skullomania!)- I am always curious to know if that includes:
Super Puzzle Fighter/Jem Fighter/Street Fighter Jr (that style)
Street Fighter: The Movie (and the game that followed) :)
C'mon - Raul Julia, Ming Na Wen, Jean-Claude VanDamme, and (most importantly) Kylie Minogue! You know you want this :p

Well, I guess I've waster enough bandwidth.

Thanks bunches SOTA!

    Yeah these do look amazing.
I like that Ryu comes with his knapsack.
Chun Li is my favorite so far, fantastic job.

Just curious, are these figures gonna come with anything like a backdrop base to recreate the scenery of the game, or any breakaway crates or barrels?

    1. When will these be hitting stores?
    2. &quot;Baby Face&quot; Ryu needs a different head. the cap vs. snk figure have the same issue. Is ryu's head hard to sculpt?
    3. Sodom? I thought he was only in like 2 street fighter games, why is; to me a secondary character in the first line up?

Just seeing Ryu's head I was disappointed, but seeing the entire figure kinda of changed my thoughts.

The realism was a little over done, and more anime look needs to be there.

The rest of the line is awesome though!

first off, these figures look really good and i think that the relationship between sota and the fans is great and you guys are right it is hard to please every fan...i know its been beaten to death but my only grip is everyones grip i think which is ryu's head...i just think it needs to be a little bit more anime-ish...i think that resaurus did a pretty decent job with the head just because it looks a little cartoony..the only reason im gripping is because ryu is my favorite character of all time and his body that u guys sculpted is soooo awesome i just want the head to reflect the quality of everything else....u guys are doin a great job and i just think a couple things need to be tweaked to make this probably the best figure line of all time (at least for me)...just try and keep it more animeish like the art in all the recent games and the comic book and everything would be perfect.....THANKS FOR EVERYTHING SOTA

<font color=blue>Since Ray used some color above, I figured I would to =)

First let me say that these figures look great, now that we have clear full body shots of everyone. Bison looks perfect and Chun Li is easily the best Chun Li ever for an action figure.

Now to Ryu, probably the most important, influential figure for the line. My first impression was "Ugh, that's not Ryu." But then after reading some of the comments here and on RTM I think people are going just a bit over board. Everyone has their favorite Ryu head/face/expression and it's gonna be hard to get the "perfect" one. For me the perfect one is the the character art for CvS2. While the High Dream Ryu head looks like SSF2T

But back to the point I was trying to make. After looking at SOTA's Ryu head and the head of the one from High Dream. I think the one SOTA has here is pretty good. The problem for me with the High Dream head is that it is too specific, meaning that I think it would only look good in that stance. Remember, SOTA is making SF figs that are playable/poseable, in fireball stances etc... I really think this head would look better in the variety of poses that we will have available to us. I just think that the SOTA head needs a little tweaking with the lips and maybe change some of the lines to make it more anime styled like people have been suggesting.

Also, I would like to say that as long as the style of all the characters is consistant I think that semi-realistic heads on anime bodies is fine. As long as SOTA is planning on consistancy in that regard it should be fine. I just don't want it to get to the point to where they're making someone like Sakura and since she's been in only the more anime styled games that her face/head gets over stylized in that aspect and doesn't fit with the rest of the figures.

Finally I would like to bring up a point from my comment from an earlier SF story when we were talking about the future of the line and who we'd like to see. Without jumping to conclusions, but with the news/rumors about Gamestop, I think it would be really nice to focus on the original core characters. I think one problem with collectors and collectible stores like Gamestop, Media Play, Suncoast is that collectors can be cheap (educated in a sense). For example, everyone will buy Ken and Akuma for full price, while some people will wait for Sodom/Dudley/Adon whoever to go on clearance, and we know that's what those stores do. I'm just making an observation and don't want it to affect how much product these stores order and if they continue to buy the line etc... Just something for SOTA and all of us fans to think about.

hey SOTA, just wanna rant and rave along w/ everyone else...this line is gonna give toy biz a friggin run for their money this year! you guys are blowing everyone away w/ this line!!! amazing, absolutely amazing!

one comment: please make sure that, during production, you guys mass manufacture figs w/ tight joints. toy biz has been notorious for churning out some really loosy-goosy joints from many of their figs. at least from my personal experience and a lot of other collector-buddies of mine.

i love my action figs...i play w/ them, pose them, etc. and it just kills me when i have to contend w/ loose-jointed figs that won't hold their pose. my one trademark test has been to set each of my figs on a standing side kick...if they can hold that pose on their own, then i've got one helluva fig!

anyway, looking forward to gobbling up your entire street fighter line! cheers!

Sagat: one word &quot;Perfect!&quot; (done in the videogames' voice)

Chunli: wow. i hope she can kick and balance

sodom looks impressive but i'm not familiar enough w/ this character.

Anyone coming here for the first time would think that SOTA were as griped about as MATTEL!

SOTA have done a bang up job here. They are leagues ahead of the smaller toy makers in quality and giving the fans what they want.

As for the Anime stuff. Anime is a minority interest all be it a large minority. SOTA need to sell to all collectors not just those guys. A realistic face is a must, to sell accross the board to collectors!

SOTA keep on doing what you are doing!

great body, but Ryu has never looked like that in any game. it doesn't even resemble him. I guess they went for a realistic look, but then why didn't they do that for sagat or M. Bison? They copied those two perfectly, but took creative license on Ryu, the most iconic of all the characters. It doesn't make sense to me.

SOTA, hats off to you again, I love Street Fighter and finally a company has done these characters more than justice, amazing detail, amazing articulation, PERFECT sculpts, and since you guys and gals at SOTA are listening to the fans i gotta say that Ryus body is all anyone could ask for, but the head makes me CRINGE! not to take away from the perfect job you did on every other part of every other figure, but the only way i can tell that the head is Ryus is because of the headband.

LOVE the line, keep em comin, congrats

I think Ryu would look much better if he wasn't frowning. The chin has to be squared, and no puffy girly lips.

Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but those lines all over his chest to represent muscle detail needs to go. Keep it plan like on Sagat, Bison.

Other than that I'm fairly happy with the rest. Maybe some tweaking can be done to Chunli and give M.Bison a cape please.

Ryu will ultimately determine if I pick up this line since he is my favorite and one of the main characters.

HELL YEAH!!! These figures are hardcore kick ass! Go SOTA, it's yo birthday! These have got to be my favorite figures in the longest time! SOTA has done a great job with these figures. Sagat,PERFECT. Bison, SUPERB. Sodom, COULDN'T LOOK ANY BETTER. Chun-li, nice body&lt;eh em&gt; MARVELOUS. But Ryu, well, knowing that I'm probably Ryu's biggest fan( yes I beat Sakura) I have to tell the truth. Ryu needs some work on the face. Alot of work on the face. His face needs a resculpt, his lips don't need lipstick, and the hair is a little too fuzzy. Maybe SOTA should ask UDON for help on Ryu. His body is fine( except his hands). Other than that, their awsome. Oh, yeah, I notice you guys are getting most of their sculpts from the comic series, which makes them look the best, and in that case, Ryu would need those red wraps around his fingers. If you can add that, it should be the best action figure of all time. Then I'll love you guys!

Well besides Ryu's obvious head sculpt debate, a couple of posters found something else that SOTA will perhaps address. Ryu's gloves seem a bit incomplete. I think the red paint should extend down to the middle joints of his fingers.

Will Bison come with a cape?

Is Chun Li's bangs protruding form her head or is it actually molded on. Just curious.

Anyways, we fans are very picky, but I have to say that SOTA is doing a very fine job for the fans and all in all this is a great toy line. It reaches a good balance for sculpt and articulation fans. I can't congratulate them enough. Can't wait for these. Heck I can barely wait on the pics of Ryu's possible head improvement.

&lt;font color=blue&gt;Alright I had to quickly post before I had to go to work, but now, I wanna go over a few things in more detail. I'll save the generic &quot;you guys roluuulzzzz!!!!&quot; responses.

First off I want to give a HUGE thanks for you guys not making them &quot;angular&quot; like the resaurus figures. I do not like the Resaurus figures, I have all the Player 1 versions of the resarus figures, but I only have them because there really isn't any other alternative as far as action figures go. [theres @ss loads of gashapon, and prize items, and random stuff, but coheasive action figure lines have been sparse]. I really, really really, do not like the &quot;angular&quot; style resaurus made them in, It's not accurate to how SF characters look. Resaurus made them resaurus styled figures, not street fighter styled figures. They IMO didn't have much respect for the source material by ignoring how it should look.

Then Last year rolled around and Palisades announced they'd be doing SF. I was stokked and hope to see some nice figures to replace the resaurus ones i really disliked. Until I heard one of the press releases, that basically said they were going to do them in the urban &quot;angular style&quot; again, and i started having an anuerism. Why Can't I just get some decent SF figures that look like SF characters and not have them basteredized into someone elses style. Then Palisades cancled it, and I was extremly frustrated.

Then High Dream anounnced there CVS line, and I've actually been fairly impressed with what they've been doing sculpt wise, but company wise I don't really know what they'll be like since there sorta off the radar. So I've been rather Iffy if they'll even come out.

Then I head the announcment You guys got the license, and I kept my big mouth shut for once. I was really let down by palisades, and I just didn't want to waste any energy about getting excited for another street fighter line that might not come into being. So I said I wouldn't waste my time commenting till I saw full shots of everything. Now I have and I'll go over things as an obsessive capcom fan.

    - Sagat: I'm very impressed with him, he's proportioned right, and over all looks real nice. He's kinda hard to mess up tho, being a more &quot;monstery&quot; type character. I can't comment on his size, cause i need to see him in relation to the other characters. My only gripe and it's reaching a bit is that his forearms need curve in, there just flat. It'd give his fist more definition. I really like his feet they look like they have toe articulation nice touch.

    - Sodom: I have to applaud the choice of Sodom, I like the more obscuer character in the mix it really adds more flavor to the line. And I like all the FF guys like Guy, Cody, Rolento I hope they all get done... especially Guy. He's a personal favorite of mine. Sodom's looks great overall.

    - Bison: I've never really been a big fan of the really bulked up Bison look, I prefer the size you guys did him in. I'm assuming He'll come with a cape, other than that, he looks really nice, the proportions are there and he's lookin good.

-Chun Li: I was really worried about her, American sculptors just never seem to get her right. I won't say it's the best chun-li face sculpt I've ever seen, but It's pretty good. Theres a couple of things you could do to tweek it, like lowering her eyebrows a smidge, and I think giving her some eyeshadow would help blend things a bit. Chun Li's body looks pretty good, but I'm not sure about those arms. I think those should be changed, her forearms are too big, and I don't think the double joint works on her arms because they are to skinny. I think that should just be sacraficed for a regular joint there.

-Ryu: Ryu is the most crucial character you need to get right, he is the epicenter of the capcom universe. I mean if you got like Birdie wrong, then eh no big dea

I know nothing about Street Fighter, but SOTA I will definately be picking up most if not all of these figures. They look great and any character likeness issues will be sure to be corrected by SOTA, as they quickly solved that &quot;pupil&quot; problem on one of them.

However it is a HUGE shame that SOTA is buckling to supposed &quot;trend&quot; by doing their movie licence characters with minimal articulation. The thing that makes Lara Croft and now Street Fighter so excellent is that they combine sculpt and articulation perfectly. I don't see why SOTA are reluctant to do this with all their lines and its a real shame. I'll be buying Street Fighter even though I know nothing about the licence, because of the sculpt and articulation. However I will not buy any movie licence where the articulation is not up to standard especially if it is based on an ACTION movie (like Kill Bill).

Maybe it's my monitor, but I don't think Ryu's &quot;lipstick&quot; is that bad. In fact, I'm liking the whole face sculpt. It's different. I mean it sounds to me like people are wanting the head to look like the Resaurus one. Well if you want the Resaurus one, then go BUY it!

What IS bothering me though is Chun Li's head. Seems a little to &quot;pinhead&quot; ish to me. Maybe that's matching the source material. I don't know. I haven't read the new UDON comic. But I do know what I like, and &quot;accuracy&quot; isn't always it. I'd much rather a fig look awesome on my shelf than look &quot;true to the source&quot; any day! Besides, sometimes in the jump from the source to the sculpt, something is lost anyway. Some things just don't work well in 3D!

Someone commented on &quot;angular&quot; being not what they like. Personally I'm all for it and I love the Resaurus figures for that. To each his own. But these are different, and as such shouldn't have to conform to how &quot;it shoud look.&quot; I think if the figures look awesome on display, let SOTA imput their creative talents and make these for both THEM and US!

Hey guys, I just want to say that you've been doing an incredible job with these figures, and your sense of humor about criticism is even better. Some people might sound a little harsh, but you know even they love these figures. I can't believe you're already updating Ryu only a day after posting the pics; his headsculpt was my only gripe, like most everyone else, and I'm glad you guys are taking care of it.

I think it looks a little too Street Fighter 2 Turbo, along the same lines as High Dream's sculpt is a little too brutish. Here is some inspiration for getting a more updated, slightly anime (but not too much) Ryu:

just kidding! we don't need any movie figures! here are some good pictures:

You guys should really stick with Ryu's red headband. Since the sculpt is mostly on the comics series, he should have the Street Fighter 3 design(red headband AND wraps around fingers). If you guys fix that up, this figure would be perfect and I would be one of your biggest fans.

WOW! thats all i can say

SOTA is the best toy company ever for listening to the fans so much!

    Bison -
    -head rules
-body outfit looks a bit too &quot;skintight&quot; on the torso muscles, maybe should be smoothed over a bit more, no biggie tho.
    -rest is perfect
-i really hope he comes with a removeable cape

    Ryu -
-head is quite bad, its better than the high dream one IMO, but it looks too &quot;pretty boy&quot;, it should be more &quot;tough guy&quot; more japenese (?) - (or wherever ryu comes from)
-body is perfect, f'n awesome in fact

    chun li -
-not a big fan of chun li so its all good enough for me. i still might buy it tho for customs and stuff.

    sodom - dont care really

sagat - dunno if i want this, it all looks good tho.

Damn, I've been engaged the whole week and this happens.

Some late comments, figure by figure. Warning, anal ramblings ahead:

    M Bison:
PERFECT. Don't change a thing. OK, maybe give him a removable dark olive coloured cape. An interchangeable grinning head would be nice, but not entirely neccessary if the price point won't cut it.
    *******************
    Sodom:
Almost perfect. His head's a bit small for his body, and the side guards of the helmet should be a bit larger, but it's trivial. I'd really like to see a side profile shot.
    **********************
    Sagat:
PERFECT body, but I think he'd look a bit better if he didn't have the brow furrows on his forhead.

    ************************

    Chun Li:
Not bad, it's broken the chain of fugly articulated Chun Li's that's been the norm since time began (GI Joe, Resaurus, Capcom Queens). Still, it could use some work:

-The elbows are too low. Using regular proportions, most elbows will come up to the bottom of a person's ribcage. I realise the double-hinged joint furthers the illusion of a long upper arm, but even looking at the upmost joint, it's still a tad low.

-Perhaps it's the camera that screwed the colours up, but right now, her thighs are a little too red. That colour works for an SFIII Chun Li, but her current proportions look more like the less-physically exaggerated SF2 version. I'd go with making it more brown than red. See art from SFex, and the Marvel vs games for references.

-Facially, quite an attractive sculpt as is. I'd DEFINATELY think about packing an extra Chun Li in a case, instead of 2 extra Ryus.
+ I do think that her eyes need to be less rounded. Right now she looks Hawaiian, not Chinese. I know some manga artists draw her with large round eyes, but that also requires an &quot;anime&quot; like way of painting the pupils, which would put her out of sync with the other figures stylistically.

+ Another thing that bothers me is the lipstick. Lipstick is almost never used in Capcom art, and it definately isn't used in Udon's work either. In anime art aesthetics we usually see nude lips. I would recommend a more subtle shade. Oddly enough, the prominent make-up for Chun Li is missing: the trademark red streak eye-shadow.

+ Also, her hair sould be a lighter shade of brown. Chun Li has NEVER had a very dark shade for her hair. Her brown hair is usually used to complement her brown stockings.

    *********************

    Ryu:
GREAT body. I'd like to see a full frontal, but from the pic it looks like it'll be great for posing in both active and passive poses, something that even Marvel Legends can't do very well.

I agree with a post above: he would be great if he had poseable fingers instead of a fixed fist/open fist hand. Maybe SOTA's already at work on it, I dunno.

He is missing the kanji on his belt: Furin Kasan.

Ryu's head: The most talked about subject EVER when it comes to Street Fighter toys. Don't take the criticisms too personally, SOTA guys; Ryu's SF2/III head has been a bugger to sculpt for nearly EVERYONE who has tried. IMO there really hasn't been a very good one yet, even from Japan. :-(

I'm assuming that this is dominantly based on the SF2 version of Ryu (As the Udon version is). So with that in mind...

His facial structure is getting there, but I think his jawline needs a bit more beef. His chin should jut out, but not down. But as is, it's passable. It'd definately get rid of the lipstick though. It just doesn't seem neccessaary on male characters, IMO. And if the factories screw up just a bit, you get the ML Reed Richards. Shudder.

The biggest problem appears to be his upper facial area, largely the eyes.

I still think you guys should make Ryu's fingers movable(and still try putting those gloves around his fingers too). I mean just think about it, Ryu in a pose of forming a hadouken. What's Ryu without it. Just try it. Oh yeah, even though I already know that UDON gave it the first go round at Ryu's head, you guys should still try your best to try and make it look like the comics series Ryu. Thanks!

As much as I want to believe that this entire line is perfect, I can't bring myself to do so..unfortunatly. My gripe as with everyone else's is Ryu's face. While I think you guys (SOTA) could get away with a mediocre face for lesser characters such as Dhalsim etc. Ryu is the franchise character of this series therefore, he should be done perfect. The Udon attempt was obviously deformed and the second attempt was decent. I still think you guys should give ryu a more anime-like face possibly a tad more agressive. Something along the lines of Street fighter the animated movie. Even Street Fighter Alpha the movie would make a better face... as would the Udon comic look. As for the rest of the figures..PERFECT (for the exception of chun li's arms, elbows). Great job keep up the good work!! Sorry for the criticism hopefully something constructive could come of it. Can't wait for the series two results!
