Look out real american heroes..G.I.Joe has some company coming! Palisades brings to the fans a modern cult classic in dire need of an army builder scale...And thus was born their Army of Darkness line! Deadites RULE!!!
Palisades Toys is pleased to officially announce plans for a forthcoming series of action figures based on the cult favorite film, Army of Darkness. This project marks a foray into a new product category for Palisades that of 3 ¾ action figures.
"Although other licensors have tackled this property before," says Palisades President & CEO Michael Horn, "No one has done it yet in this scale. The size and the price point is perfect for those collectors who are army builders. For the first time, collectors will truly be able to create their own Army of Darkness."
The figures, set to hit retail mid-to-late summer 2004, will all be sold as 2-packs, each featuring a key character from the film, along with a different zombie, skeleton, or deadite.

Hooray!!!! At last someone else making 3.75in figures again!!! I really hope this starts a new trend for well articulated, well sculpted "star wars" scale figures. X-Files, Buffy, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings. Yes please! |

| Holy crap these are cool. However the connection between "army builders" and "Army of Darkness" is a tenuous one. These just seem like shrunken McFarlane figures. Good for the price, fun to look at, but still lacking playability. I have to wonder about the company's real motives, as there's little chance of building an army out of so few figures. I'm assuming their legs will move in the finished version? |
