Summer con exclusive news is slowly starting to trickle in, and rest assured, we have a lot more to come! Today, we celebrate Mom's day with something evil..like my mom...

This is one half of a 2-pack that will be sold exclusively at San Diego Comic Con. Now before you get your panties in a bunch, it's the TWO PACK that is the SDCC exclusive. With SOTA's track record of making fans very happy, you can bet they'll do something with this to give you a crack at the characters involved while still keeping their SDCC exclusive something you'll want to hunt down immediately. Ooh! Now this makes me want to get to SDCC even more even though I'll never really make it.

AWESOME figure of Evil Ryu. Are those lightning bolts actual accesories? I think they should be purple but who really cares? It just looks good. I hope we can see what the other figure is.

I'm glad that we will be able to get these characters later on through normal means. Nice of SOTA to do that.

I hope SOTA release the regular Evil Ryu in the same outfit but with a red headband and a more angry head with a frowning alternate head that is not showing any teeth. Also, I wonder if the lower lip color can be toned down a bit for the regular release. Just suggestions.

Wow. If only I could make it to SDCC...... that toy alone has sparked the collector spirit within. Truly awesome figure.

that seriously puts the evil ryu i hav to shame and i always thought my evil ryu was my holy grail

looks amazing with the source material provided by UDON i presume, looks amazing

sota'll probably hav to release this without the electrical energy hands and a more standard head, mayb a repaint of the original. givin him a plain non expression look like when he uses the satsu no hadou in the udon comic when against akuma

all in all, if i manage to get this of the one sota will release to fans, i can't wait

oh and more to do with the teaser then the actual figure

u've used the 'ten' symbol for 'heaven' or 'sky' but that symbol is more related to akuma then evil ryu. evil ryu has a symbol or in lines with death/dead but i can't remember which it is. its on the back of the resaurus evil ryu figure.

for when u do the packagin, i don't want u guys to make the mistake of usin the wrong symbol or something

I think it would be cool if they made a Evil Ryu and Akuma 2 pack . They would have glow in the dark eyes and fire-ball .
What do you think ?

WOW the look of evil ryu is amazing.
The face looks like ryu is really enjoying the infliction of pain on his opponent.
The lightning bolts is a nice addition. I was wondering if those electical bolts were removeable or reposable.

Once again SOTA you tackle the challenge of a Street Fighter's complicated designs and you succeed.

Can't wait to see the other figure of this 2-pack. (could it be normal Ruy perhaps? or maybe an unexpected akuma lurking in the shadows?)

    The expression isn't quite Ryu, but still it's very nice. If you guys make a more solemn head for the individual release you may force me to get two, dammit.

    On the word "ten", one poster is right. Evil Ryu is more associated with the word "metsu", ie destruction or annihilation. s is Shin Gouki. Lemme know if you need a pic of the kanji!

    I WAS WRONG!!! I thought the two pack was gonna be the two guys from the Cheap Shots at the end of each comic... Anywho... Remember how everyone was wondering about the gloves?? "How are the gloves gonna look??" "Are they gonna be the finger things??" well, look at evil Ryu's gloves... H ehas the finger things... It would make sence, he wears those in the comics...

    There are no comments or critizisms about this figure. How can you say anything about a figure so perfect?

    I am looking forward to SOTA's further interpretation of the Street Fighter universe.

    holy crap. i hate to just add to the praise but this figure deserves it. between this and the hellboys i don't know which one i'm gonna run to first. will these be available preview night or will i have to wait until thursday?
    i guess just to add criticism for the sake of not licking sota's balls to eagerly,,,,,,um,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well. i can't really come up with any. i hope the joints aren't loose. hah! there's one.

    Thanks everyone

    Couple notes:

    We took the expression right out of Udons comic.. those who read the comic will recognize it.

    I goofed on the symbol..I just opened the wrong file and wast paying attention. Dont worry we wouldnt screw it up in production.

    Okay heres the difference between the SDCC Evil Ryu and the regular version Evil Ryu. Regular version will be available in a single pack through our website ( and others) but it will NOT have the energy bolt hands. Energy bolt hands are only available on the SDCC version. Also the heads will be different on the regular and SDCC versions.

    That means everyone can get an Evil Ryu but the SDCC one is definately special.

    By the way thats an actual PRODUCTION piece. not a prototype. All I did was add a couple glows in photoshop.

    I'll show you the other figure in a couple weeks.

    OH MY GAWD....that figure is awesome, but hey one question i dont mind the fact that the normal version wont have the energy hands...but us people that arent gonna be able to go to the con arent gonna be able to get that awesome head sculpt on their evil ryus????......i think it might be enough if he came in a two pack and had the energy hands to make him an exclusive....please dont let the people that really want this figure to miss out on something that is this cool....and PLEASE dont change any of the color apps or anything when u guys do make the normal version of evil ryu....u guys are doing awesome SOTA i just fell in love with that figure and hope that i can get one that has that head sculpt.....thanks

    First of all, I love me some SOTA!!!

    Second of all, fair enough. This is as fair as a company can get and still have some exclusivity in regards to convention figures.

    I love this figure and I am dying to find out more about as to which line he will be offered with!!! I am going to have to mutilate one of my Star Wars Unleashed Darth Sidious' hands to get the blue bolts. Small price to pay for pure kickass errrr -ness!!!

    OK, that is friggin sweet lookin. Just found out about this line and was wondering if anyone had any specific info regarding it. Heard they are in scale with Marvel Legends, but does anyone have a comparitive heights shot of Ryu, and Sagat. I don't want to collect something that isn't accurate. Also heard a rumor about interchangable hands, is this true. And are there any accessories with the figures.

    SOTA, I didn't realize it at first because of my computer screen, but Evil Ryu's headband is red isn't it? It's just a darker red, right?

    When will evil Ryu be released normally? What wave are we talking here? If you can't answer, that's cool. We understand. Also when will your website put up preorders?

    Just such a nice fig of a very cool character.......

    Amazing SOTA. Never would I have thought of the idea of including lightning bolts to evil RYU.

    Do those eyes and lightning bolts glow in the dark? I was just wondering.

    and lastly the face of evil ryu looks awsome. In fact, I think M. Bison should contain a similar look also. I heard that each figure has two heads of expression so I am hoping that Bison has his Sadistic smile.

    I read an article about SOTA street fighter action figures in the recent issue of Toyfare. In the article it states that SOTA has plans to make every single character in the street fighter universe. Reading this gave me great joy because honestly I do want a collection of every character in the series.

    The making of Evil Ryu just proves that this is a company that can really go all the way.

    T. Hawk is cool

    I just recently watched the movie "Man on Fire"
    In the move they say that Mexico has the highest kidnapping rate in the entire world. T. Hawk is from Mexico.

    Now it makes sense why Capcom revolved T. Hawks story line in the kidnapping of a member in their tribe (which is Juli)

    Before, I looked at T. Hawk as a boring character who was only created to give zangief some competition. Now I have found a new sense of respect for the big guy. I see now why he has a "take no for an answer" attitude and will go through great lengths to find answers. Kind of like Denzel Washington in the movie.

    Using his animal spirit (the Hawk) as a guide, he goes off to find his missing member of the thunder foot tribe (juli).

    You gotta love those crazy capcom character designers. When they make a character it just makes sense. Personally if a clan member of mine was taken, I would do what ever it takes to get them back and so this is the root of the design of T. Hawk's characteristics.

    I hope other people out there see just how cool T. Hawk can really be.

    With all that said, I can't wait to get a copy of the T. Hawk figure that is being made for series 2.

    SOTA, you've done a great job and are stil doing awsome(though I'm still disappointed I cant get Evil Ryu). But there is one thing still bothering me. After looking over and over again, I noticed that Chun-li really does need help on her arms. They have a sort of curve to it that needs to be straitened a little. Also her eyes are pretty big, face is too round, and the lipstick dosen't HAVE to be there. You could ignore everything I 've just said, but at least try to look over it for these mistake. I just can't live on with someone that beautiful looking that...different.

    I find it unfortunate that I won't be able to get the exclusive chase figure of evil ryu. But if such chase figures helps keep the street fighter line strong then I can understand.

    Any chance for us to see an updated version of the first line of action figures? I hope to see it before June. I just saw highdreams version of Mai and I am betting that SOTA can make female figures better (meaning chun li)
