ActionFigureXpress writes in with news and an image of their latest exclusive: the Lord of the Rings Exclusive Prologue Elven Minimates, which are due out later this year...

With all the upcoming exclusives, and the royal dicking AA has given the Marvel Minimates collectors with their &quot;Now it's exclusive, now it's not...&quot; and &quot;buy seven old figures to get two new figures&quot; policies I can't stay far enough away from this line.

My only real problem with this is the shipping cost. It basically doubles the price of the item at AFX. If they did exclusives through mass retailers or Diamond, I wouldn't mind, but I don't see why the U.S. Postal service needs to profit off this.

Put me down for... hmmm... I'm thinking... well, I don't know how many, but you better believe it will be a few :D

BTW - I can understand why this set is exclusive: It wouldn't work well at retail. No &quot;names&quot; mean that it is pretty much just army builders getting this set. I would not count out seeing similar elven warrior figures in the retail packs, but with just two army-builder figures in a pack, it is not so good for retail, but great for dedicated fans :)

They look nice, but since they're basically the same figure with different head sculpts, it would make a lot more sense to give us one with all the accessories (a sword, bow and quiver... I think they could handle it) and release something different to make it a better deal.
