It's the time of the year that hurts us in the pockets the most..Summer Convention Season! Here's a piece from Mezco that's sure to bring a tear to your eye...If you ever on the fence about collecting vinyl, this might be the guy to push you over the edge..that is if you can get your hands on it. Extreme Hellboy features a ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders, upper right hand of doom swivel, wrist swivel on the left hand and ball jointed wrist on the right, mid-torso ball joint, waist swivel, v-cut swivel hips, upper calf swivels, tail swivel, upper tail swivel and bendy rest of the tail. With big cartoony feet, balance is perfect. Posability is fairly good too, though his shoulders are hindered by his sculpt. In a piece like this though, we usually don't even get this much articulation as they aren't really meant to be posed. I'll call all these points extras that bring up the attitude a bunch of levels.
Included is a pleather type coat with functioning buckles, fakey buttons and pocket, BPRD patch and an inside elastic holder for the Samaritan gun. Also included is an extra head you can jam a cigar into, two shirts and a nice fat version of the Samaritan.
You'll find everything you want here..the symbols cut into his skin, little packs sculpted into his belt and his rosary hanging down, sculpted into his leg. Even though this is an exaggerated version of Hellboy, fans will agree it is the most fun piece they've seen so far. This piece is limited to 3,000, which would seem like a lot but TRUST ME..if you want this piece, stake your claim now! It's 3k worldwide!! Dang....What the hell's wrong with these people? why didn't they ship something like this in to all the Sam Goody's, Suncoasts, and Tower Records? Do they think this thing wouldn't sell? Is there some sort of national toy company reefers club association where all the marketing teams blaze out and decide where to sell certain products? |

Yes, RUN to the Mezco booth, but don't stand in line or the SDCCPD will get ya ;) This gnome has gotta have this! The garden could use some serious muscle I can understand why this didn't make it to retail. I'm sure Mez had enough trouble just with the word "Hell" in the title, but the US market has not really grabbed onto sylish figures like in the UK or Japan. So this would be a tough sell, even on the specialty market. |
