RC2 Corporation, makers of the JoyRide Studios Halo® line of collectible figures announces the launch date for their exclusive line of figures based on Halo 2®, the sequel to the best-selling Halo sci-fi action-adventure game. Following Microsoft's announcement that the hugely anticipated Halo 2 video game will be released November 9, 2004, JoyRide Studios is pleased to reveal that the first wave of highly-detailed, fully-articulated figures based on the game will hit store shelves on October 1, 2004.
“JoyRide Studios has been amazed at the enormous success of our Halo line of collectible action figures and we are really looking forward to building upon our success with the Halo 2 action figures,” says Scott Corley, Managing Director of the Figure Team for JoyRide Studios. “By timing our launch with the release of the Halo 2 video game, we will be able to provide retailers with a superb opportunity to cross-sell, boost sales, and create more excitement for the official game release. Additionally, we will be able to provide the fans of the Halo franchise with a preview of the new characters and technological advances coming soon in the Halo 2 game.”
JoyRide Studios was the first to bring a third dimension to characters from Halo, one of the top-selling video game titles ever released. Now, they bring the same authenticity and attention to detail to life in an assortment of action figures from the highly-anticipated Halo 2. This new line of collectible figures will bring the adventure and excitement of Halo 2 from the screen and into the collectors and video gamers’ hands. JoyRide Studios holds the exclusive license to produce figures from Halo and Halo 2.
In an effort to maximize the enormous retail potential of this popular license and meet the tremendous consumer demand, JoyRide Studios has closely aligned the Halo 2® Action Figure release dates with the Xbox® Halo 2 game release.
The first series of figures from Halo 2 includes the Master Chief, Brute, Warthog, and Hog. The 1:12 scale Master Chief has more than 18 points of articulation, a reflective helmet visor and an arsenal of weapons – including dual wielding small machine guns. The 1:24 scale Warthog has working suspension, a rotating/pivoting machine gun and comes complete with three figures—a mini-Master Chief and two marines. The massive Brute is new for Halo 2 and comes with a powerful alien weapon. The Hog, the civilian version of the Warthog, comes complete with cool street rims, tinted windows and a hot yellow painted finish. Suggested retail prices are $14.99 to $17.99.

Man they are really milking that Master Chief sculpt for all it's worth huh? 2 versions of Green, now Blue and Red and White and soon a Black version of him.
I love the Brute. I wish they'd make more cool characters like him.
I'd also like to see maybe some weapons/accessory packs, or howsabout a Warthog big enough to fit the Master Chiefs? (deluxe boxed)

And I also wish they'd put balljointed hips in the Master Chief. It would make him much more posable.
