When is a Turtles character not a Turtles character? When he's Usagi Yojimbo crossed over into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from his own comic book series...

Usagi Yojimbo is a samurai in 16th century Japan. Although the characters are anthropomorphic animals, the Usagi stories by Stan Sakai themselves touch on a wide range of human emotions. The research into medieval Japan is extensive, resulting in costumes, settings and situations that reflect a high degree of historical accuracy. It has grown a loyal following both inside and outside the comics industry.

However, Usagi Yojimbo has also crossed over into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lore, and it's greta to see Playmates able to release a figure of him as part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle line.

Usagi is due for release anytime around now in the US, so keep check your stores.

i'm a big usagi fan so i may have to get this, but that articulation looks terrible... maybe marvel legends have just spoilt me.

I really want to like this, but putting him in a permanant pose with his arms sticking straight out like that is a crime. Playmates uses ball-jointes shoulders, why not on poor Usagi?
