The Stronghold Group send us new pictures of their upcoming 4th release in their series of Playboy Playmates: Ava Fabian...

The Stonghold Group tell us:

Playboy Fashion Doll, Series IV: Ava Fabian, is now ready to ship from our production shop. Limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, Ava is the first in the line of upgraded, highly collectible dolls in the Playboy Fashion Doll series that will lead in to the special releases of Marilyn Monroe (appr. shipping June 15) and Hugh Hefner (appr. shipping July 15) limited edition figures being released to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Playboy beginning later this summer.

Ava is set to begin retail promotion of her Classic Bunny doll beginning with Comicon in San Diego in July where she is expected to autograph her limited edition collectible dolls.

While supermodels at age 18 dominate the cover of magazines, Ava, approaching 40, is a classic beauty in person and in doll form.

Just wait until you see Marilyn!

Is anybody else worried that this line is going to make Ken want to cheat on Barbie? I'm sorry, but I've never seen the appeal of these dolls for anyone other than Playboy afficionados and sad lonely over 18s. Yeah, they are great likenesses, but why? I am however looking forward to the Monroe doll, even if it's only to check and make sure they've included her... sixth toe!
