| What's going on between his legs? Talk about draught problems! Seriousely though it's a shame the Spider-man classics GG does not look like this REAL CLASSIC Goblin. |

| No knees joints? What the hell? What is Diamond thinking leaving those out? Oh, that's right, Marvel Select sucks. |

To me it seems that Marvel Select are just statues that want to be figures. You would think that for $20 goddamn dollars a figure they could add more articulation. And please spare me of the comments mentioning "Sculpting gets ruined with articulation!" or "Articulated figures look so bad!". If that's the case then buy freaking Gentle Giant and Sideshow Weta statues! I don't mind Marvel Select that much but when you put together such an important character without knee joints I can only cringe. I have bought the Diamond Select Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk but I have to admit that any other pose different from that that they were packaged look kind of silly…ok, ok, Hulk being the exception. Oh, and Diamond Comics has a monopoly when it comes to comic book distribution. Yeah, yeah; you would say that there are other small distribution companies "blah, blah, blah" but the moment they appear to be a threat to Diamond Comics they get crushed. You know what? If Ticket Master was sued for monopolistic practices so can Diamond Comics! Now, if I had the money to pay the lawyer fees... |

I can't see the glider very well, but I'm glad it's there (on the right of most of the pics, on a stand) because otherwise the leg pose / inarticulation would be inexcusable. Does the glider come on the stand? That would be interesting, and maybe provide for some Peter dangling action! |

| Diamond Select figures are somewhat confusing to me. It's like they have an identity crisis -- "Am I an action figure or a statue? I don't know!" I have avoided the majority of DS figures because they suffer from what I call "Spawnitis" -- a severe lack of reasonable articulation. DS figures don't need to be Marvel Legends hyper articulated, but they do need something more than a couple of twists here and there. Elbow, hip, shoulder and knee joints are a must in my opinion. Otherwise, just forget any articulation and just make them low end, affordable statues. I have only purchased one MS figure to date, and that was the Black Cat. Her sculpt was too wonderful to pass up. She was probably the most statue like of the bunch, too. All the others were, as previously mentioned, statues wanting to be action figures, Ultimate Hulk being the acception. I almost picked up Ult. Hulk, but the lack of knee and elbow articulation killed it for me. I would have at least liked to have seen his hands semi-articulated so he could hold something. DS needs to go one way or the other. Don't continue to sit on the fence and frustrate both camps, i.e. statue collectors and action figure collectors. |

Actually, this may be the first Marvel Select I buy. The articulation looks fine. In fact the arms look pretty good and the head looks like a ball joint. The knees should be double jointed but he's designed to stay on the glider anyway. What's the scale compared to ML? If he doesn't fit in with my Legends and Spider-man Classics, I'll pass. |

doesitmatter: The scale of the Marvel Select figures is about 1:1 2/5 ratio. The figures are too big for the ML figures on plain sight. It is frustrating not being able to put them all together in a display. I have opted to put the MS figures out of their packages on top of the still-in-package Marvel Studios Figures. Once again, the only of the line so far that you can match with the ML line is the Ultimate Hulk because no matter how big he is, he still looks cool. |

| along with everyone else's opinion.... this figure totally sucks! i've waited since the day the original spider man classics line came out for a green goblin like this to come out, i've dealt with the movie version, and i've looked away in disgust because of the ramos design one, but now i get the perfect goblin and it has no articulation......... not even the cheap early 90's style of just knees arms and elbows... damn you DS for your false hopes of dreams coming true |

Marvel Select is supposed to be around to put out toys we would never really have see the light of day. I only have MS Elektra, and I am getting the Ultimate Venom, and I am looking forward to this GG because toy biz is not gonna make him any time soon. |

I love everything about him EXCEPT his legs being permanently stuck in that pose. Oh well, after having put up with that pitiful Power Rangers-style movie substitute clogging the pegs, I guess a wee bit of customizing to finally get the GG I've been wanting will be worth it. |

I just joined this site and I saw some comments on "The Green Goblin is due out in April 2004 and is the latest in the Marvel Select line". Don't listen to these whining babies. This figure is AWESOME!! Yes it could be better but for the most part you will be VERY happy. |
